Getting Loads Of Targeted Visitors With Long Tail Keywords

Ability to provide relevant information to it’s visitors will make a site super successful. This isn't as easy at it sounds, but it is very important to the success of a website. If a visitor arrived on your site don’t get the information they wont, they will hit the back button without second thought

Let's take an example in the SEO niche.

You might have a page about "SEO".

That's great, but what if someone is looking for free SEO strategy, and they arrive at your page which basically describes paid SEO, or SEO tips that is beneficial to a blog publisher only? Would they be targeted? Would they likely stay on your site, and follow your call to action (whether it is clicking an affiliate link, or clicking an Adsense ad)? Probably not. The information is not targeted enough for that visitor.

If you created a page that was targeted to that visitor, then there is a good chance they would at least read your page, and follow your call to action. The more targeted the information, the better your conversion rates.

In this example, writing an article on Free SEO strategies would be the way to go. However, the big problem is actually finding these specific phrases in the first place.

This type of phrase is often called the long-tail. They tend to have less competition, and fewer searches, but they are vital to the success of a site, and allow you to cater for a wider audience, providing highly relevant information to each visitor.

One way to find these long-tail keywords is to look through your log files. Look for the phrases that people use to find your pages, and then create content that is more targeted to their requests.
